Types of Training Centers (From www.NDLSF.org)

BASIC Training Center - Basic Training Centers (BTCs) are accredited to conduct the didactic courses Core Disaster Life Support® (CDLS®) and Basic Disaster Life Support® (BDLS®). Individual classes may be conducted anywhere within their region, provided a suitable lecture facility is available.
ADVANCED Training Center - Advanced Training Centers (ATCs) are accredited to conduct the didactic courses (CDLS® and BDLS®) and the Advanced Disaster Life Support™ course (ADLS®). Individual CDLS® and ADLS® classes may be conducted anywhere within their region, provided a suitable lecture facility is available. The ADLS® course may only be conducted at the ATC’s accredited fixed facility. No instructor training is conducted by ATCs.
REGIONAL Training Center - Regional Training Centers (RTCs) are accredited to conduct the didactic courses (CDLS® and BDLS®), the Advanced Disaster Life Support™ course (ADLS®), and the Instructor Training Program. Individual CDLS® and ADLS® classes may be conducted anywhere within their region, provided a suitable lecture facility is available. The ADLS® course may be conducted within its region provided the RTC has an approved mobile training component and identifies an appropriate location for the ADLS® program. Instructors trained by RTCs are not credentialed to conduct instructor training.
NATIONAL Training Center - National Training Centers (NTCs) serve in the same capacity as RTCs with the following added responsibilities:
NTCs serve as developmental test sites for course revisions and developments.
NTCs are responsible for training instructors who are permitted to train additional instructors.
NTCs are responsible for providing training and assistance in the establishment of contemplated new training centers through contractual arrangements at the discretion of the organization planning the new TC.
NTCs are responsible for the conduct of the NDLS™ courses in the International arena.
At their discretion, the NTCs may enlist the assistance and support of any accredited Training Center (TC) in the fulfillment of any of their roles and responsibilities. Such support would be formalized by appropriate contractual arrangements between the respective TCs.
